COMMISSIONER GARY MOLLOY ANNOUNCES ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR EMPLOYERS TO PROVIDE WORK SITES FOR SUMMER YOUTH WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM


USVI – Commissioner Gary Molloy invites Employers, Not-For-Profit Organizations, and Training Service Providers to participate in this year’s Summer Youth Work Experience Program through the Virgin Islands Department of Labor (VIDOL). VIDOL is seeking the following:

  • EMPLOYERS AND AGENCIES: Those interested in providing a five (5) weeks summer work experience for youth ages 16-24. Interested employers and agencies can apply online at https://youth.vidol.gov/ and complete the“ Employer Request Form”.
    −Youth can work 24-30 hours a week.
    −Worksite supervisors will be required to attend a MANDATORY orientation in May.
    −Returning worksites must complete a new application for the 2025 program.
    −Employment period is May – July 2025.
  • SERVICE PROVIDERS AND ORGANIZATIONS: Those interested in providing life skills and career exploration activities for youth ages 14-15. Programs should run for no more than four weeks. A mini-grant of up to $ 4,800 is available for qualified providers. To apply, complete the “2025 Provider Mini Grant” application online at https://youth.vidol.gov.
    −Provide Life Skills training to students to prepare them for the world of work.
    −Offer exposure to one or more occupational areas, allowing students to job shadow or gain hands-on experience in specific job functions.
    −Assist students in developing their Career Interest Portfolio.
    −Program Period: June 2 – 30, 2025.

The deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025.
